our story

From the vibrant energy of Queenstown, Crisp & Vale was born over a decade ago.
As head chef and owner, my background prior to coming to New Zealand, was training at the Cordon bleu Tante Marie school of cookery and Rick Steins flagship ‘The seafood restaurant’ alongside Michelin star experience.

As a food hedonist, I take immense pride in our work using New Zealand’s best food producers mixed with a flare for flavour and an expert eye for imagination and presentation.

With a move north to Christchurch,  Crisp & Vale has developed into providing flavoursome, stylish food and beverage with a standard of service second to none.

In May 2025, we opened the doors to our very own home base and shop in Sydenham Christchurch.

Creating an espresso bar, catering kiosk, and event space is a tangible way to engage with our community, customers and clients.
